- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
In this position, you ensure that potential donor families make an informed decision regarding organ and tissue donation. Responsibilities include evaluating and facilitating each family’s understanding of brain death; providing emotional support for potential donor families, as well as follow-up care; performing early on-site evaluations of potential donors; and assisting with donor family services projects.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is preferred, as is experience in social work, case management, grief support, hospice care or allied healthcare fields. Fluency in English and Spanish, with exceptional skills in translating and interpreting, is required. Previous experience providing services to the public is desired, with special consideration given to candidates with experience dealing with people in difficult situations. Candidate must possess excellent verbal, written and organizational communication skills. Prior experience with organ and tissue donation/transplantation or theology is preferred. Must be able to take calls, travel by personal automobile to assignments and work outside of normal business hours.

Medical Records Review Coordinator
- Based in Elmhurst, part-time
In this position, you will coordinate and conduct assigned medical record reviews, developing hospital-specific outcome reporting and reviewing data for accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or equivalent work experience required. Must have 3 years’ medical record review experience.

Organ Recovery Coordinator I
- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
As an Organ Recovery Coordinator, you will coordinate the medical management of potential organ donors in the hospital ICU setting. You will be responsible for on-site evaluation of the potential donor and will manage the placement, recovery and preservation of donated organs for transplant. Other responsibilities include explaining the donation process to families of potential donors and obtaining consent for donation if the patient has not registered previous consent. You will take part in case follow-up, data collection, and quality assurance activities related to organ and tissue recovery.
Qualifications: Registered nurse with critical care experience, or clinical/transplant/recipient coordinator RN with at least one year of experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this position, including the ability to communicate with potential donor families and fellow employees in a caring, service-focused manner. Attention to detail, travel by personal auto to assignments, the ability to take calls, and work outside normal business hours are required.

Referral Coordinator I
- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
- 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. work schedule during training period
- 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. permanent work schedule following training
As a Referral Coordinator I, you will effectively process and triage donor-related calls to appropriate procurement, transplant and development personnel. Your responsibilities will include providing hospital personnel with prompt and efficient processing of all incoming and outgoing calls to optimize opportunities for organ and tissue donation.
Qualifications: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in allied health services; an Illinois or Indiana practical nurse license; or one to three years of experience triaging or caring for critical care patients, preferably as a respiratory tech, EMT, or LPN. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to make sound clinical assessments in a fast-paced environment are essential skills for this position. Must be detail-oriented with a focus on customer service. Experience within the transplantation field is a plus, as are basic computer skills.

Tissue Procurement Technician I
- One position based in Elmhurst, per diem
- Two positions based in Springfield, per diem
As a per diem tissue procurement technician, you will serve
on-call to assist our tissue recovery coordinators with tissue procurements and maintain appropriate aseptic technique during the recovery process.
Qualifications: RN, PA, EMT, ORT or other related field (e.g., pathology assistant, anatomist). Must be available to work a minimum of six days during each scheduling period. May be required to move up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive duties from time to time.

Application Architect
- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
In this position, you will design, develop and maintain new and existing applications to ensure system integrity and compatibility/integration with other programs. Your responsibilities will also include providing help-desk function
for users.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field is required, along with a minimum of five years’ IS architecture and development experience. Experience in NET is required; experience in C#, Biztalk, Sharepoint, Exchange, Powerbuilder, Windows 2003, Microsoft Office, Visual Basic and MS SQL Server 2003 is desired.

Donor Family Services Assistant
- Based in Elmhurst, part-time
In this position, you will prepare letters and other correspondence to families of tissue donors. This includes responding to inquiries sent to the Donor Family Services department. You will also maintain files and databases and carry out various administrative duties.
Qualifications: A high school degree and a minimum of 3 years’ secretarial experience are required, as is the ability to type 55 words per minute. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Publisher. Excellent organizational and proofreading skills are essential for this position. Detail orientation and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and maintain confidentiality are required. Back to Top
Driver
- Based in Elmhurst, part-time
- 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Sunday schedule
We seek an individual who will be responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency ground transportation in the Illinois area. This person will also assist with other property-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be at least 25 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license, possess a clean driving record with proof of current motor vehicle insurance, and be familiar with the Chicagoland area. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrate attention to detail and be able to lift 50 lbs. or more. This position also requires ability to take assignments by pager.
