- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
In this position, you will coordinate the medical management of potential organ donors in the hospital ICU setting. You will be responsible for on-site evaluation of the potential donor and will manage the placement, recovery and preservation of donated organs for transplant. Other responsibilities include explaining the donation process to families of potential donors and obtaining consent for donation if the patient has not registered previous consent. You will take part in case follow-up, data collection, and quality assurance activities related to organ and tissue recovery.
Qualifications: Registered nurse with critical care experience, or clinical/transplant/recipient coordinator RN with at least one year of experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this position, including the ability to communicate with potential donor families and fellow employees in a caring, service-focused manner. Attention to detail, travel by personal auto to assignments, the ability to take calls, and work outside normal business hours are required.

Placement/Perfusion Coordinator I
- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
In this position, you will be responsible for the allocation of organs locally, regionally, and nationally on brain death and donation after cardiac death. You will conduct machine preservation of kidneys taken from extended criteria donors; ensure that placement of organs that are unsuitable for transplant are placed with local and national researchers; and perform in-person evaluation of potential donors to determine suitability for organ and tissue donation, along with daily follow-up on referrals, when needed. In addition, you will order and maintain inventory of organ procurement/preservation supplies and medications, maintain and collect data relevant to kidney perfusion and organ placement, and perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in one of the health sciences is required. Must be an LPN or EMT/Paramedic with two or more years’ experience, or operating room technician with one or more years’ experience in an acute care facility, or have experience in organ procurement/perfusion.

Referral Coordinator I – Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
- 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. work schedule during training period
- 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. permanent work schedule following training
As a Referral Coordinator I, you will effectively process and triage donor-related calls to appropriate procurement, transplant and development personnel. Your responsibilities will include providing hospital personnel with prompt and efficient processing of all incoming and outgoing calls to optimize opportunities for organ and tissue donation.
Qualifications: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in allied health services; an Illinois or Indiana practical nurse license; or one to three years of experience triaging or caring for critical care patients, preferably as a respiratory tech, EMT, or LPN. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to make sound clinical assessments in a fast-paced environment are essential skills for this position. Must be detail-oriented with a focus on customer service. Experience within the transplantation field is a plus, as are basic computer skills.

Human Resources Generalist
- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating employee benefit programs, including interacting with a TPA to ensure data integrity; ensuring accuracy and completeness of all employee records, including paper and HRIS documents; coordinating leaves of absence and Workers Comp claims; and maintaining OSHA records. You also will coach, counsel, and advise employees and managers on routine employee relations issues. Responsibilities also include coordinating the hiring of temporary employees through agencies; conducting exit interviews and analyzing results; coordinating the education assistance program; managing employee recognition programs and employee events; and coordinating the performance appraisal process.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in human resources or other related field, or equivalent work experience, is required. Two years’ human resources generalist experience is required. Candidate must be familiar with payroll procedures and have experience in all areas of human resources. Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and judgment skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidential information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and HRIS systems such as ABRA, is required.

Public Relations/Volunteer Coordinator
- Based in Elmhurst, full-time
In this position, you will manage our Volunteer Network, generating measurable public commitment to organ/tissue donation. Responsibilities include developing programs that foster participation in an effective Volunteer Network; orchestrating internal and external communications for publications and marketing initiatives; working with volunteer groups to provide assistance for special projects, programs and public speaking events; and maintaining strong relationships with key community, educational, religious, civic and social organizations.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in public relations, volunteer services, marketing, communications, education/training or related work experience is required. A minimum of five years’ proven success in public education programming, outreach and/or volunteer management is strongly preferred. Candidate must possess excellent writing, proofreading, editing, public speaking and critical-thinking skills, along with meticulous attention to detail. Creativity, self-motivation, strong organizational skills and a highly developed sense of responsibility and follow-through are required. Ability to think and act independently, as well as motivate and inspire others is a must. Travel by personal car is required, as is the ability to work outside normal business hours.
