Elizabeth Lively is Chief Policy Officer for Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network. In her position, Elizabeth leads the development and growth of the Illinois Transplant Fund and works to strengthen relationships with hospitals, elected officials, coroners, medical examiners and other key external stakeholders to promote Gift of Hope’s mission.
Before joining Gift of Hope in January 2016, Elizabeth served as Vice President of Foundation Development for the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council, a membership and service association comprising more than 150 hospitals and healthcare organizations that work together to improve the delivery of healthcare services in the metropolitan Chicago area. Previous to that, she served as MCHC’s Vice President of Government and External Affairs with oversight of the Council’s advocacy, public relations, marketing and membership services departments.
Before joining MCHC, Elizabeth served at Adventist Midwest Health in Hinsdale, Ill., for more than 20 years. She held several positions there, most recently as Associate Vice President for External Affairs and President of the Midwest Health Foundation.
Elizabeth holds a master of science degree in communications from Northwestern University in Evanston and is an alumna of Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in Indianapolis.
A volunteer for Chicago-based Top Box Foods, Elizabeth also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board of Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Ill., and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Robert Wood Johnson Leadership Network and Chicago Area Public Affairs Group.
