New Tools on Adipose Use Available

New online resources to help you better understand adipose recovery and how the tissue is being used to benefit transplant recipients are now available. Adipose—fatty tissue removed from areas such as a donor's abdomen and thighs—is used to promote healing in patients with hard-to-repair injuries like bone fractures. AlloSource, Gift of Hope's tissue partner, uses recovered adipose to create a live cell bone graft substitute called AlloStem®. Gift of Hope Hosts 2011 Hospital Seminar Series

Gift of Hope hosted a repeat series of three regional collaborative conferences in 2011 for its hospital partners.

Saving and Enhancing Lives: A Collaborative Approach helped hospital staff members learn how their organizations can help save and enhance lives through a collaborative approach to organ and tissue donation.
