Gift of Hope’s Jack Lynch and V103’s Herb Kent will square off on Battle of the Best on February 12 to promote organ and tissue donation in the African-American community. |
Jack Lynch, Gift of Hope’s Director of Community Affairs, will be the guest of legendary radio host Herb Kent for Battle of the Best at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, February 12, on V103 (AM radio). During their battle, Herb and Jack will promote the need for organ and tissue donation in the African-American community by getting listeners to vote for their favorite R&B artists. They also will encourage listeners to register as organ and tissue donors on the Gift of Hope Web site. In addition, commercials promoting donor registration will be aired on V103 (102.7 FM radio ) and streamed on v103.com throughout the program hour.
Battle of the Best is a popular weekly feature that pits Herb against a special guest as each tries to get listeners to vote for his or her favorite R&B artist. Songs are played by both artists, one after the other, and callers vote for their favorites via phone, Facebook, Twitter or the V103 Web site.
