Evelyn Schultz, CPTC
Senior Operations Advisor
Evelyn leverages her experience in clinical operations to help the work of organ and tissue donation and procurement run smoothly and to ensure successful donations. She advises Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network’s senior leadership team on authorization, organ/tissue recovery, organ allocation and perfusion, donor resource coordination, inventory and warehouse management, central supply, and transportation.
Schultz joined the organization as an organ recovery coordinator in 1993 and assumed increasingly responsible roles before her current position on Gift of Hope’s Leadership Team, including positions as a donor management specialist, team leader, supervisor and manager.
Before joining Gift of Hope, Schultz was a registered respiratory therapist at a Level 1 trauma center for 13 years. A member of the North American Transplant Coordinators Organization, Schultz has held leadership roles including participation on the Pediatric Transplant Committee for the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).
Schultz is certified as a procurement transplant coordinator by the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC). She holds an associate degree in applied science from Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Ill.
