Julie Flannery
Director of Development

As the Director of Development for the Gift of Hope Community Foundation and the Illinois Transplant Fund (ITF), Julie Flannery works with executive leadership to develop multi-faceted philanthropic plans to ensure sustainability for Gift of Hope’s programs and services, and the ITF. Cultivating new approaches to advance a culture of philanthropy, attract transformational gifts and strengthen positioning across a large and diverse donor base are among her responsibilities.

Flannery previously held leadership positions with the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics as vice president of development and communications (global) and director of philanthropy services for Loyola Medicine (Loyola University Medical Center, McNeal Hospital and Gottlieb Memorial Hospital). Prior to transitioning to the healthcare non-profit space, she had her own marketing services agency and held marketing roles with Fortune 500 companies.

Flannery holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications from DePaul University, Chicago and has held volunteer roles and board positions with Food for Health and Illinois Hospice & Palliative Care.
