Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Kim leads the development and implementation of integrated and strategic marketing, public relations and communications that represent Gift of Hope to external stakeholders. She leads the Marketing & Communications team working with leadership and staff across the organization to ensure internal and external marketing and communications are effective and aligned to achieve business goals and increase life-giving donation.
Prior to joining Gift of Hope, Kim directed marketing and communications for Eversight, Gift of Hope’s eye bank partner. Her more than 25 years of integrated marketing, communications, public relations, journalism and management experience also includes positions with The Joint Commission, Adler University, Concordia University Chicago and Sinai Health System. As Manager of Public Relations and Donor Family Services at Gift of Hope from 2001 to 2007, she developed and managed the organization’s new dedicated function for post-donation communications and services to donor families, and as well as campaigns and volunteer training related to Illinois’ passage and adoption of state registry donor authorization.
Kim has directed multiple award-winning programs and campaigns. She has chaired and served on multiple committees and presented at the state and national levels for the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations; Donate Life America; and the Illinois Coalition on Donation, for which she was founding chair.
Kim holds a bachelor of science in news communication from Bradley University, Ill., and a master of arts in public affairs journalism from Columbia College Chicago.
