Black Women’s Expo
August 12-14, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
McCormick Place, Chicago, Ill.

Black Women’s Expo is an intergenerational exposition targeting Black Women and their families where women gather to share ideas, search for solutions and grow their businesses. Gift of Hope staff will be present sharing information about organ & tissue donation and registration.

Rockford City Market

City Market Pavillion, 116 N. Madison St., Rockford, Ill.

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network will sponsor a table at the market’s activities area. Volunteers will provide fun activities for children and information for their parents about donation. Also, look for us at the entrances to learn more about donation!

Danny K. Davis Back to School Parade, Picnic & World Health Day
August 20, 9 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Columbus Park, 500 S. Central Ave., Chicago, Ill.

This event will be a day full of great food, culture, hands-on experiences, art, music, health & wellness physicals, sports activities, food, prizes, hiring opportunities, community resources and much more. Gift of Hope will participate in the parade and have a table to promote donation registration.

Organ/Tissue Donor Night at the Ballpark
Sponsored by Donate Life Illinois

Cheer on the Windy City Thunderbolts or the Joliet Slammers from a reserved Donate Life Illinois (DLI) section at Ozinga Field. This special night is for donors, recipients, their families and DLI partners. Wear your donor apparel while the players wear Donate Life jerseys.

NAMIWalks Your Way Chicago 5K Walk

Gift of Hope will participate in the NAMIWalks Your Way Chicago 5K to help raise funds and awareness for critical free mental health services, education and advocacy in Chicago and beyond.

Donor family members and recipients are invited to learn about Gift of Hope’s correspondence program, connect with one another while discussing their correspondence journeys and help each other with their letters.

Springfield Memorial Hospital’s 5K Transplant Run/Walk
September 28, 9 a.m.
Hope Pavilion in Southwind Park, 4965 S. Second St. Springfield, Ill.

Join our Gift of Hope team as we sponsor and take part in Springfield Memorial Hospital’s 5K Transplant Run/Walk to benefit kidney transplant patients.  This 15th annual 5K is hosted by The Alan G. Birtch, MD, Center for Transplant Services at Memorial Hospital. Representatives of the Illinois Secretary of State Life Goes On program will be on hand to help register donors.
