Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network has partnered with the Maddog Strong Foundation to develop a comprehensive organ and tissue donation education program for Illinois high school students. The program will be available to all public and private secondary school districts for the 2020-2021 school year and will provide an educational and informative overview of organ donation and transplantation.
The Program
The comprehensive program will include subjects such as How Donation Works; The Medical Process of Transplantation; Living Donation; Dispelling the Myths; How the Donor Registry Works, Who can be a donor; Why and how teens can talk to their parents about their donor decision; Tales of Donors, Recipients and their families.
